The role
What this is
Cyshel runs a portfolio of live companies on one platform. A senior engineer here does not own a service, they own a product line: the schema it needs, the API it exposes, the screens it ships, and the on-call pager when it misbehaves.
You will work across the whole monorepo. One week is a booking flow in a Hebrew, right-to-left interface; the next is a durable workflow that has to survive a payment provider timing out halfway through.
The work
What you would own
Responsibilities
Design and ship features across Postgres, GraphQL and React, without handing off at a layer boundary
Take a product line from a written spec to a deployed change, including the tests that prove it
Own the production behaviour of what you ship, including the parts that only break at 2am
Review other engineers' changes with the same standard you want applied to yours
First ninety days
Week 1: ship a real change to production, with someone beside you
Month 1: own a feature from spec to deploy on one of the live products
Month 3: own a product line, including what it costs to run and what it is worth fixing next
The fit
What we are looking for
Requirements
Five or more years building production web applications in TypeScript
Real relational database experience: you can read a query plan and you know why the index matters
You have shipped and operated something that had paying users
Comfortable in a codebase where the linter, the type checker and the tests are allowed to say no
Nice to have
GraphQL schema design, ideally code-first
Durable execution or workflow engines (Restate, Temporal, Step Functions)
Hebrew, or previous work on a right-to-left product
Hiring
How this actually goes
You write to us
An email with whatever makes the case. A CV is fine, so is a link to something you built. We read every one.
A first call
Forty-five minutes with the person you would work beside. What you have built, what you want to own, and what this actually is.
A real problem
A paid piece of work or a working session on something we are genuinely stuck on. No take-home puzzles with no answer.
An offer, in writing
Scope, compensation and what you own, written down before you decide. If it involves equity, you see the instrument and the vesting first.
